🪴Each clipping will be cut fresh on the day of shipping (unless it's rooted) and will include two leaves and two nodes and root-producing stem for propagation. Nodes may or may not have aerial roots developed at the time of cutting. We carefully package cuttings in sphagnum moss to ensure freshness upon arrival. Some cuttings of similar sizes may be wrapped together to save materials and space.
🪴Once received, you have the option to propagate your cutting using your preferred propagation methods, such as perlite, sphagnum moss, or fluval stratum. If you choose to use water propagation, carefully remove the cutting from any surrounding sphagnum moss and place the stems in a clear container. Fill the container with enough water to cover the nodes, ensuring the leaves are not submerged. Keep the nodes underwater at all times and replace the water on a weekly basis. Within 1-4 weeks, you should observe the growth of roots. Once the roots reach a length of 2-5 inches, you can transfer the cutting to soil or your preferred medium. During the transition, it's normal for the plant to experience some wilting as the roots establish themselves. Embrace the process, nurture your cutting, and witness its flourishing growth.
🪴Just a friendly reminder: We're here to help you have an amazing experience, but it's important to keep in mind that we can't guarantee successful propagations. To set you up for success, we highly recommend doing some research and getting familiar with propagation methods before making a purchase. Being well-prepared and knowledgeable about the process will give your new plant the best opportunity to thrive. So, go ahead and dive into the world of plant propagation with confidence and enthusiasm. Happy propagating and may your green thumb flourish!
